They are so nice! I told them I was going to Berlin and Munich and they told me where to find Kirchner paintings. The ones at the Pinakotek der Moderne in Munich were great

Contemporary artists I like include Olivier Assayas, Peter Doig and Brian Calvin and Weimin He. Clouds of Sils Maria was filmed in part near where nineteenth century painter Giovanni Segantini painted in the Engadin in Switzerland - an artist whose landscapes and style inspired my great uncle by marriage, American Illustrator NC Wyeth.

I am blown away by the knowledge, sophistication, history, and images within Kundry by Antoine Wagner

his 'Wagner in der Schweiz' is also sehr wunderbar .. just beginning to appreciate more deeply as of 5 February '18, the images of Swiss mountainscapes uncannily resemble parts of the music and plot in the Ring Cycle !!

You should be on the currency of Ireland and in a thousand textbooks. I am still absorbing all the material you left behind far too soon. You were beautiful and also powerful like Queen Elizabeth I and brought me to tears long before your departure.. I drew your face two days before you died and several times leading up. There is something so real in your music that is unlike any other I've known. You are/were a total and true artist and have left a big hole behind and also had style and influence

I wanted to recognize a friend of mine who died in the mountains in 2010 while we were in art school. It was a tough death but he was a good person and gifted painter. His death knocked me off my course. Chris Brennan 1990-2010
